Our Story

Hi, I’m Megha. And if you’re here, I’m guessing you love clothes as much as I do. Maybe you’re also someone who gets excited about finding that one piece that somehow just feels so you.

That’s really where Tamira begins.

I’ve always felt that what we wear is a little more than just clothes. Some days, we dress up because we feel good. Some days, we dress up because we need that little bit of confidence. And sometimes, we just want to look in the mirror and think, yes, I like this version of me.

I wanted Tamira to be a space for exactly that.

A space where clothes feel feminine, comfortable and beautiful, but never like they are telling you who you need to be.

The name Tamira comes from my love for தாமரை, the தமிழ் word for lotus. I’ve always loved what the lotus represents. It grows through its own journey, takes its own time and blooms in its own way.

And honestly, I think women are a lot like that.

We are all figuring things out. We change, grow, start over, discover new sides of ourselves and sometimes surprise even ourselves.

Tamira is my little way of celebrating that.

The woman you are today.
The woman you were yesterday.
And the woman you’re slowly becoming.
